Audio & Radio Industry Awards

Gaudio Awards was delighted to have the opportunity to create the Audio & Radio Industry Awards for a new event celebrating the audio & radio industry.  The Audio & Radio Industry Awards, otherwise known as the ARIAs, were hosted by the Radio Academy and supported by Leeds Beckett University, and took place at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on 19th October.  The event was hosted by DJ & radio presenter, Sara Cox, and with a number of high-profile performances including the Kaiser Chiefs and Gregory Porter, it is the biggest cross-industry celebration of UK audio and radio.

There are sixteen ARIAs up for grabs, including (amongst others) awards for Best Digital Audio Service, Podcast of the Year, Best Local Station, Best National Station, Best News Coverage, and the ultimate accolade, The Radio Academy Award, which honours outstanding long-term contribution to the radio industry.

Gaudio worked closely with the Radio Academy to produce an award that perfectly fits their brief without focussing on clichéd images typically associated with the radio & music industry, instead being inspired by embedded digital audio players and play/audio images.  Sixteen designs were produced, which were narrowed down to the final design made of black painted aluminium with inset purple acrylic.  Full colour printing sets the award off beautifully, making it a sleek and stylish award that the winners will be thrilled to receive.
