BigJigs wins 2011 Independent Toy Awards

Toy Shop UK, the online toy directory, has announced the results of it’s 2011 Independent Toy Awards. Over 800 independent retailers on the directory were asked to vote for their favourites in 15 categories and winners were revealed on Friday. Wooden toy manufacturer BigJigs received the first ever Toy Shop UK Award for Most Popular Supplier.

Sam Ireland operations manager at Bigjigs, said of the award:

“To say we are over the moon would be an understatement. A big thank you to all the customers who voted for us.” Michael Hawkins from Toy Shop UK said: “I think Bigjigs is a well-deserved winner. We’ve heard nothing but praise for them from retailers this year – and that’s a reflection of not only their terrific products, but their willingness and ability to deal with independent retailers so well.”

The award itself was manufactured from profiled glass-effect acrylic with full colour digital print mounted on a mirror polished aluminium base. The nature of the event and branding made it great fun to design and manufacture, and it is definitely one of our favourite awards of the year.
