Designing the Daily Mirror Pride of Sport Awards

Gaudio has recently designed the Pride of Sport Awards.  The Daily Mirror Pride of Sport Awards, in partnership with TSB, are the younger and lesser known sister to the Pride of Britain Awards and celebrate the unsung heroes of the sporting world.  The Pride of Sport Awards have just taken place for the third year and are gaining increasing prominence in the sporting world.  They celebrate sport at the grassroots level, raising awareness about sport and encouraging people to be more active on a regular basis.  The event highlights people who have contributed to sport at a local or national level across all walks of life.

The Pride of Sport trophies have just been redesigned for the third time, and Gaudio was very excited with the opportunity to recreate the award.  New machinery at Gaudio’s state-of-the-art facility in Gloucestershire gave us the opportunity to really be creative with the design and manufacture of the award. The iconic Pride of Sport trophy is a three-dimensional representation of the logo, cut out of aluminium using our CNC machine and brushed before being attached to a highly-polished aluminium base, engraved with the sponsor’s logo and winner’s details.  It is always an honour to be involved with such a high-profile award and this one is no different, especially as along with the Pride of Britain Awards, the Pride of Sport Awards celebrate people who have overcome adversity to achieve great things.
