Event Production Awards 2018

Tonight saw the Event Production Awards hold their 7th annual ceremony in London, for a night of entertainment and networking, celebrating the best and brightest in the event production industry.

The Event Production Awards ‘recognise and celebrate the hard work and achievements of key suppliers, contractors, venues and organisers within the outdoor and live events industry’.

The awards cover nineteen unique categories, from Best Music Event of the Year, to the most highly coveted award of the night, The Legend Award, which recognises ‘outstanding achievements within and contributions to the outdoor events industry over a career’. The awards are judged by pioneers in the industry, representing the huge variety of experiences and opportunities in the events business. Judges include Steve Taylor of Europride, Paul Reed of the Association of Independent Festivals, and Karen Olsen of MMedia Group.

Previous versions of the award stuck to a traditional tall design, polished and printed, on a polished base. This years’ award, however, has a new profile, suited to the Event Production Awards branding. Having worked with the EPAs previously, we were certainly excited to try something new. A compelling design, the logo is a dynamic and colourful image, perfect to be incorporated into an exciting bespoke award.

The final piece is a simple circular profile in polished aluminium, with printed detail adding an impressive pop of colour. The base is finished in brushed aluminium, for an impressive weight and a premium feel. These awards are a great example of the power of print, and a fantastic design to demonstrate how brushed and polished finishes can work so well together.
