Bespoke TrophiesGaudio Receives Award at Recent Event
Gaudio was very excited to receive an award at the inaugural Awards Awards, which took place on Friday 12th May at the Plaisterers Hall in London. The event is the first to recognise the best awards initiatives and ceremonies, giving industry suppliers and organisers the opportunity to impress their peers and gain recognition and respect from the industry.
Gaudio was nominated in the category of ‘Best Awards Supplier’, which recognised the best suppliers to the awards industry, not specifically those who supply the awards themselves. We were honoured to receive the bronze award alongside Cheerful Twentyfirst and Hawthorn, which took gold and silver respectively. Cheerful Twentyfirst is a leading supplier of live events services, including content, video and exhibition stand-building, while Hawthorn is a technical event production company, which also offers equipment hire and installation of lighting, sound, video, staging and rigging to bring events to life. To be selected alongside such prestigious suppliers to the awards and events industry is a real endorsement from our peers of the effort we put in every day to provide high-quality, beautifully-finished bespoke awards, with a real focus on providing the best customer service we can.
The recognition Gaudio received at the Awards Awards has given managing director, Adam Hutchinson, the chance to reflect on Gaudio’s journey so far. Established in 2006 from a spare bedroom, Adam recognised a gap in the market for truly unique awards that really capture the branding of the event they’re designed for. The initial idea was inspired by a gift brought over from Spain by Adam’s girlfriend at the time, who is now his wife, and evolved into the provision of bespoke awards. Gaudio has grown rapidly year on year to a team of over twenty people who have been focused on the provision of bespoke awards from the outset.
Adam is most proud of how the team has grown over the past eleven years, and that everyone takes a real pride in what they do. “We have developed a business where individuals can come and be themselves, where everyone can flourish and grow, and as a result, everyone is becoming highly-skilled in what they do.” Adam continues, “we have a very open, informal office culture and we sit down every morning to discuss the new enquiries that have come in and how we can create them. This makes sure everyone understands what is going on so we can align customer requirements with the design and creation of their awards, ensuring we can provide the best customer service as well as awards that are on-brand, on-brief and on-budget.”
Asking Adam which awards he is most proud of creating over the years, he doesn’t need to think about his answer. “Definitely the Formula 1 trophies! As a Formula 1 fan, it was so exciting when we received this enquiry. The team’s favourite is definitely the MasterChef trophy though, but it’s always exciting when we see any of our awards on the television, as with the MasterChef trophy last weekend.” For the future, Adam hopes to continue Gaudio’s steady rate of growth, while challenging the marketplace with fresh designs and manufacturing techniques.
