ICE Europe Awards

The ICE Europe Awards took place on 22nd March as part of the 10th ICE Europe (International Converting Exhibition). ICE Europe is the world’s leading exhibition for the converting industry, offering visitors an insight into the latest technological advances affecting the converting of flexible, web-based materials. ‘Converting’ is the term used for the processing of raw materials, such as polyesters, paper, silicone, tapes, foam and plastic, into other products. Typical converting processes include coating, laminating, printing and cutting.

ICE Europe is a highly-specialised exhibition and to celebrate its 10th anniversary, its jubilee awards ceremony was launched to honour exhibitors for their innovative products, technology, services and performance.

Gaudio was excited to design the ICE Europe Awards as they had a very clear brief of the type of award design they wanted. The brief was to design an award that was strongly based on their logo, which features three overlapping diamond shapes. The finished award had the three overlapping diamonds made out of clear acrylic and printed in 20% transparency to give a translucent effect. These were partially inset into a rectangular, brushed aluminium base, with the event logo, category and winner’s details printed on the front. These awards were a perfect representation of the event logo and looked really attractive.
