Crafting Bespoke Trophies for the British MotoGP

Motorsport trophies need to do a lot. They need to match the scale of the achievement, and need to keep up with the scale of the celebrating. You can picture it clearly, the end of the race, champagne-soaked, trophy held up triumphant for everyone to see.

For this years’ MotoGP, our in-house team created a collection of bespoke trophies designed to make an impact on the podium, incorporating details inspired directly by the racetrack.

The first place trophy was presented to Spanish racer Raúl Fernández, who claimed his first Grand Prix victory of the 2026 MotoGP season at Silverstone. Fernández made his professional debut in 2015 with the Red Bill MotoGP Rookies Cup.

These custom motorsport trophies use materials, branding and a distinctive interpretation of the circuit itself to connect the trophies to the event.

Racetrack outlines are instantly associated with individual circuits, and even casual fans will recognise the iconic Silverstone track. They’re often incorporated into racing trophies, and it’s why the track outline became a distinctive feature in the designs created by our in-house team for this iconic motorsport trophy.

Our design team explored several options. The first option would have been printing the circuit onto the surface. Print is durable, it’s crisp, and it blends seamlessly with the other printed graphics. That said, we knew we could do a little something extra.

Instead of print, we created the track outline as a separate inset acrylic piece. Sections extend beyond the edges of the circular trophy, breaking up the silhouette and adding dimension to this already eye-catching design.

It’s also a great way to make the trophies specific to the occasion. The location of the event becomes a part of the trophy, making each piece a keepsake that will conjure up memories of the day for many years to come.
