Publican Awards

Gaudio was excited to have the opportunity to create the Publican Awards for the third year in a row. The Publican Awards, organised by The Morning Advertiser in association with William Reed Business Media, took place on the 14th March in London. Over 1,400 guests attended, with celebrity host, Jonathan Ross, handing out the awards. The event is the UK’s biggest awards ceremony celebrating excellence in the British pub sector. Eighteen awards were handed out, including ‘Best Accommodation Operator,’ ‘Best Brewing Pub Company,’ ‘Best Pub Operations Team,’ and ‘Best Food Offer,’ amongst others.

New World Trading Company scooped a massive six awards at the event – the most awarded to any one company in the event’s history. New World Trading Company runs a chain of bars and restaurants situated mainly throughout the North and Central England, offering a range of local ales and craft beers, as well as cocktails and champagne with rustic deli-style menus.

The trophies that Gaudio created for the Publican Awards are a perfect example of how Gaudio can create awards that really epitomise the event they’ve been created for. These awards look like they’ve come straight out of a pub, with a turned aluminium column shaped like a beer pump handle, set on a wooden base with an aluminium plaque for the winner’s details. The event logo is printed on acrylic shaped like a shield and attached to the beer tap.
