Rising Stars Awards Showcase Bright New Talent

Comedian Russell Kane has had a busy week, hosting the Supply Chain Awards and the Rising Stars event! Star of Dragon’s Den, Theo Paphitis, opened the show with an entertaining speech, praising all the rising stars in retail and commended the retail sector as a whole for dealing with the trading conditions over the last year. Russell Kane then took over proceedings to entertain the 500 strong crowd of rising stars, with celebrations lasting until the early hours.

With a record number of entries, this year the judges found it harder than ever to reach their final decisions, so congratulations to all who were successful. Retail Week features editor Charlotte Hardie said:

“The achievements of all the winners have proved just how much young talent there is in the retail sector. The quality of entries for the Rising Star Awards keeps on getting better, and there were so many examples this year of instances in which retailers’ up and coming employees are making tangible differences to their workplaces as a whole. Retailers constantly have to contend with the fact that not enough people view retail as a viable career option, but this year’s winners are evidence of how much can be achieved with dedication and natural retailing skills.”

The awards were designed and manufactured in the UK by Gaudio Awards. The design is a bespoke piece from the new layered collection, made up of polished aluminium with engraved star detail and frosted translucent violet Perspex with white print.
