This years’ Scottish Green Energy Awards saw a traditional wooden tablet with a contemporary design twist.
The Scottish Green Energy Awards ceremony may have looked different this year, with the presentation hosted online, but no celebration is complete without a set of bespoke awards.
Hosted by comedian Jo Caulfield, the awards celebrate companies and individuals in Scotland committed to protecting the future of business with sustainable energy practices.
Wooden tablets are hugely popular across all types of industries – not just energy and renewables. They walk the line between a classic look, with natural variations and rich tones, and a contemporary piece. Freestanding awards are often featured in our designs, and time and time again we see enquiries looking for a design that will stand the test of time.
The available print surface on tablets lends itself to a bold print, and these are no exception. With a pop of bright pink, the logo is the focus on this award. Paired with custom print of category details, sponsor names and the winning recipient. Each piece is individually personalised. Printing each award individually provides a personal touch that many organisations could not provide at physical ceremonies this year.
Layered on the face of this tablet is machine-cut aluminium, offering a tactile element, as well as a contrasting base for additional print. The aluminium layer is home to the Scottish Green Energy logo, with colour-matched print to keep the awards on-brand.
