Bespoke trophies for extraordinary moments
Bespoke TrophiesUnique Awards as Full Frame Film Festival in Full Swing
Close to 100 films were set to show at the Carolina Theatre this weekend at the Full Frame Film Festival. Spanning over four days, it celebrates ‘established and emerging film makers’. The festival will see stand-out exhibitors taking home unique awards made by us at Gaudio.
The festival aims to make non-fiction filmmaking ‘more accessible to a wider audience’. Panels have creators engaging in in-depth discussion about their context and process. The international event is ‘dedicated to the theatrical exhibition of nonfictional cinema’.
Previous festival-goers may have seen ‘Heaven is a Traffic Jam on the 405’ from noteworthy director Frank Stiefel. A self-critical and insightful documentary about artist Mindy Alper, the film has since won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Subject.
Lights! Camera! Awards!
For Full Frame, we’ve created three unique awards.
First of all, we designed an aluminium tablet. Due to its weight and professional finish, a mirror-polished metal tablet is a classic option for any event. FSC certified walnut makes up the Full Frame logo, with grey printing.
The walnut wood is also used for the top of the standing award. In addition, a matching polished base is home to engraved winners’ details. The award is complete with glass-effect acrylic. Rather than stick to the metal and wood, we instead added an acrylic pop. The acrylic stands out and this award offers a contemporary contrast to its partner.
To complete the set, metal paperweights act as a lasting yet practical reminder of the festival’s success for creators. While the size differs, the material and branding on the paperweights remains the same. Despite their differences, the result is a streamlined set of awards.
Bespoke manufacture offers a wealth of opportunity, particularly for corresponding sets of awards. Whether they differ in size, shape or design, we can create pieces that look different, while still fitting a theme.
